With grocery for the week not yet delivered, there were basic food items present in the fridge. I pulled out carrot, paneer & whole wheat bread and made paneer sandwich to kick-start the Saturday morning.
- Paneer (100 gm)
- Whole wheat bread (8 slices)
- Carrot (1)
- Ghee/Butter (2 small teaspoons)
- Onion (1)
- Green Chilly (2)
- Chat masala/salt (as per taste)
Cooking Direction
- Chop the onion into small pieces.
- Grate the carrot and paneer.
- Chop the green chilly into small pieces.
- Mix the chopped onion, green chilly, carrot, and paneer in a bowl. Sprinkle chat masala and salt as per taste and mix well.
- Spread ghee on the bread slices.
- Place the mixture on bread and spread it evenly.
- Preheat the sandwich maker and place the sandwich.
- Serve it with chutney/sauce/tea/coffee.
As my husband took the first bite, I gazed at him. Without knowing I am waiting for his appreciation, he said, It’s really tasty, I like it.
“I smiled in appreciation” 🙂
